January 2026
Happy New Year, It’s now almost the end of January and I have been busy with my regular work as a therapist in private practice. It’s such rewarding work. I’ve also been eagerly anticipating the release date for a children’s book that I did the illustrations for! You will be able to buy the book via the following link:https://a.co/d/6ofXZPt I worked on the drawings in and around a very hectic work schedule as well as big life events - such as my own wedding in France! It was a beautiful event and we were deeply touched by the family and friends who made the trip to celebrate with us!
In the meantime, political changes and events in Canada and especially in the USA have made these times especially tense. I still travel across the border to spend time in Bellingham with my partner. The photo above was taken yesterday on Lake Whatcom. Such a pretty walk. Last weekend, I also had a fabulous get away with my Artfest pals aka “the Sirens”. We rented a sweet house on Puget Sound and spent most of the weekend with our art supplies spread out all over the dining table - making art, going for walks, exploring local haunts, etc…These annual to semi-annual gatherings have been happening for over 15 years and I am eternally grateful for each and every time we get together. Even in these dark times, we are able to uplift one another via art and bacon! Oh, and cheese :) It’s a thing!

The island across from our rental house was called Hope Island, nice name!
Looking forward to more great times in 2026.
